Rubber
spacers are often placed between the battens and the slab to reduce
the tranfer of impact noise through the floor. |

coated with boarding before placing of structural screed.
3. Services fixed to battens below
slabs. 4. Plasterboard finish

Plaster direct to Slabs
Gleeson Precast floors have a textured soffit to allow
a bond and skim finish to be applied directly to the slabs. |

Battens
Dropped ceilings allow room for placing services
underneath the slabs. Battens can be placed between slabs at the
time of fitting to make counter battening easier.
